Troop 116 is a Scout (youth) run Troop of young men which relies on the Scouts to make decisions on events and activities and to teach other scouts their Basic Scout Skills. All youth leadership positions are appointed by the Scoutmaster based on attendance, advancement, leadership and scout spirit.

Each summer the Troop offers two scholarships for Scouts to attend Junior Leadership Training at one of the nearby BSA Camps. We also offer financial assistance with Scouts wishing to attend “Trail To Eagle” weeks at Summer Camp and strongly encourage our scouts to apply for and take part in the Counselor In Training (CIT) program at one of the camps.
