Brian McKeown finished his Eagle Project on June 16th of 2007 and he only has 2 more Merit badges to do before the big reward and before my 18th birthday which is on November 24. His project was very successful. It was a beautiful sunny day and he had a great turn out with about 30 kids participating. Help running the Bicycle Rodeo were 12 Boy Scout volunteers, a bicycle professional from Roy's Bike Shop, United Ambulance, Spolk Folks, and the Lewiston Police Department. Brian was able to get donations from a porter potty, fruits and water from Shaw's, cones from public works and much more.
This project was to help the Advocates for Children. During the bike rodeo, Brian had bike safety lessons, bike checks, helmet fits, bike relays, and a nice paved path at Marcott Park!
It was a great experience as well as a lot of work.
